Next to the great pyramid there was a mortuary temple. Some Egyptologists believe that this temple was where offerings were left, and daily rituals were carried out for the king.
The only part of this temple that survives today is the floor. Archaeologists have made educated guesses about what the temple might have looked like from studying the floor, and looking at other ancient Egyptian mortuary temples.
This lintel is from the tomb of a priest who worked in one of the temples in Khufu's pyramid complex.
